Typhon RF is a remotely controlled, reloadable, electronic distraction device which provides five 170 dB events with minimal flash, smoke and fragmentation. Specifically designed for Law Enforcement Agencies and Special Forces, Typhon RF provides a dynamic solution for hostage release and method of entry. By reducing the flash and smoke discharged from the device, the risk of collateral damage is dramatically reduced. Multiple Typhon RF devices can be grouped to be initiated as one or individually selected to create a unique method of controlling or subduing a situation. The system now also utilises a common cartridge eco-system, allowing interchangeability across drone, robot and deployable system platforms.
Typhon RF allows for the quick instant deployment within a 1km line of sight from the controller for activation and monitoring. Once switched on, the device is constantly listening for an arming signal, on receiving this it enters a heightened sensitivity setting awaiting the activation command. The time between the five events can be programmed to mirror a specific pattern or timing profile, as required. Once the device has been used it enters a safe inert state for retrieval and recharge.
